If you make pieces and parts or provide services for Kawasaki Sixes you may post links here to your business or product catalog. If you're just into 1300's and have found a business that you like to deal with post it up here.

SPEEDO - TACHO Needles was created by LareNurminen
I think that everyone who owns a Z1300 or KZ1300 is frustrated with the brittle and faded needles of the tacho or speedo.
There are no real alternatives available to replace the old needles and besides the removal of the old hub can damage the delicate mechanism of the gauge.
I have come up with a solution to the problem.
It is the needle which is bad, not the hub = let us just change the needle!
I have managed to find an exact replacement for the needle, the same shape, length and color as in the originals.
The method to replace is also easy. Open the gauge as shown in the illustrations attached, remove the old needle with a sharp hobby knife or small cutting pliers and just glue the new one to the old hub!
Easy to do even when gauges are mounted on bike.
You can order a pair of needles from me for 11.00 USD including letter postage anywhere in the world. (I sell them on eBay for slightly higher price due to eBay costs)
My email is lauri.elopak at gmail.com Payment with PayPal is OK.
Hope this helps to remove your needle issues.

Good to hear, just remember to carefully remove the old needle, it is very easy to bend the shaft!
If you have small side cutters, that will work just fine. If you scratch the hub, permanent marker will nicely cover those.
Best regs, Lauri
