fuel regulator for an 85 voyager zn1300 was created by Saxgod
Hey guys just bought my first bike an 85 zn1300 stripped down. My buddy I got it from says it needs a new fuel regulator. I cant seem to find one of these anywhere. Anyone have one or know where I can get one? Maybe aftermarket or a universal one if there is one. Also im thinking of adding the farrings and bags back on how much additional weight does that add? Thanks

I'm in Portland, Oregon all this week. I believe I've got one at home. Can you wait till Saturday? Where do you live?

You can fit a universal one as I did, there are loads to choose from on Ebay. Get one described as 'rising rate' -what that means is that the regulator will momentarily increase the fuel pressure to the fuel rail on opening the throttle, detected via the vacuum tube attached, same as the original, it has the the same effect as the accelerator pump on so-equipped carbs. Also make sure you get one with a pressure gauge, it will make setting it up easier. Set the fuel pressure cold to about 42 psi with the engine running. And don't use silicone vacuum tubing for the vacuum connection as in the pic, I found that it degrades after a short time as per my posting elsewhere
