Mizz - I did have an email from a specialist who said he could make the 85mph speedo into a 160, but I think I've deleted it in error. A google search for Japanese speedo restoration brings several results, such as this one :

Still looking for a Z1300. There are a few for sale at present but they have issues that make them unsuitable for me.
There was one on eBay that I was after but vendor ended auction early

What are the critreria for your purchase?
I'm starting to consider letting mine go, but not fully decided.
I've owned it from new (1983, A5) and it's got about 40k on.
It not terrible but like any 40 yaer old bike it needs work - it would make an excellent base for anyone wanting to do a full restoration.
I'm not desperate to sell so it might not be seen as a baergin!

Good useable original condition or restored to original spec/condition. If the bike needs work, the price has to realistically reflect this, as we know restoration/repair can be very expensive, especially on a Z1300

I understand...
It's usually a given that the value of any item is the price that someone is prepared to pay for it! I generally agree with this but I have to also consider what it is worth to me as I still get enjoyment from riding it when it's running well.
I've been very rude making my first couple of posts in this section, I'm now off to write up a proper introduction to post today or tomorrow so that there is a little more info on the bike and my relationship with it.
Go safely,
Pete.

Kaplan Cycles USA currently recommissioning a KZ1300 A4 Only 1,200 miles. It won’t be cheap, but nor should it be!
