Has anyone tried this mod of taking the vacuum from the engine and connecting it to the crank case vent ?I copied this from another forum "The idea is that it reduces the pressure pushing up on the back of the pistons and therefore makes it easier for the piston to move down on the power stroke. "The reason I ask because I'm modding my airbox and I was just going to run a 1/2 ID heater hose from the vent with a filter at the end and just tie wrap it some where so it doesn't get wet. While surfing the net I found this mod.

It's called PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) been round since mid 50s on a lot of cars and AFAIK it is mandatory on cars or at least in Australia it is.

You would need to experiment a bit as it only needs a slight vacuum to make it work. Usually the line is from the air filter box after the filter to the crankcase breather.
Don't use heater hose the oil contact will make it a mushy slimy mess after a short time.
Some of the Drag Racing cars use what is called a "vac u pan" and it gets the vacuum from the collector of the headers where where is a low pressure area.
