Hi Fernando,

I think you're asking does the fuel solenoid also act as a fuel pump? The answer is no, it just cuts off the fuel flow when the ignition is turned off.

Hello Fernando:

If you look at the shop manual, it provides a good explanation of how that fuel solenoid operates, and on how to test it.

Many owners on this site recommend removal of that valve. I have it on my bike with no issues, I just clean it whenever I do a carb overhaul, or cleaning.

It just depends on how original you want to keep your bike.
