Hi all, my name is John, and I live in Ontario Canada.
I just finally purchased a 1979 Z1300A1 with only 2500 original miles on it.
I had been trying to purchase it from a Friend who bought it new in Hornschurch Essex UK, in 1980 as an unsold 1979.
He brought over to North America, and never rode, just put it on a stand in a climate controlled garage.
This has been a 25Year project, as he would just not part with it.
Needless to say I am very pleased to own it, but unfortunately I will probably never ride it due to advancing age.
Cheers all.
John

Hi John,

Welcome to KZ1300.COM! Congratulations on your new furniture! I have a couple of pieces myself.

Of Course if I had a KAW in my family room I wouldn't have to worry about the constantly weeping engine cases.

What a great story, John! Please PLEASE - you MUST ride it! Even if it is only once - and then tell us what you think about it. Then tell us: was it worth waiting twenty five years for?

Hi Bill, Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I am still learning the site (I'm old).
Beautiful pieces of English iron.
I've had em all over the years, but this is my second Kawi 1300.
I went through all of the H series over the years, but honestly still prefer the Brit bikes.
Thanks again for the welcome, and great pic's.
As soon as I get the carb leaks sorted out I will pull my Z out of the workshop and get some decent pic's to post, as I'm probably going to have to sell it anyway due to my advancing Years.
All the best
John.
