I've seen this done wheels and suspension off. Seemed a little more manageable that way.

Isn't your Commando a left side shift? I've got two BSA's that I don't ride because I don't think I'm smart enough to remember which side the brake is on.

I love looking at the old British bikes..............but unfortunately was born just a bit late to really experience them (1963) and served my time as a bike mechanic from 77 to 81 when most brit stuff was finished & the japs had moved in so never got to work on brit stuff.

My metric tool kit dont fit brit stuff either .....LOL !

Why do they always leave an oil patch everytime you park them ?
