Hi i'm Tom, owner of a really nice (cosmetically, anyway) 1979 KZ1300A with only 8800 miles
Pulled it out the other day and am cleaning tank and wondering what to do next
(Cam Chain replacement or no?)
Have owned about everything, but sold most years ago and am probably keeping this one

Regarding the cam chain tensioner, there is a lot of information on this forum describing the deficiency in the design, and the options for overcoming it. (One of my my little side hobbies I picked up in quarantine was to see how difficult it was to get period-correct tires for when I had to replace mine. Turns out, the answer if "very".) Very beautiful machine.
