Can anyone confirm that a DFI fuel tank will fit an early carb (A1) bike. I know I will have to blank off the return inlet but anything else ??

Wish I could help you with this Fraserc. But without seeing the two types together there's no way to tell. At a guess I wouldn't think they would be significantly different.

Just been looking at photos of the underside of both tanks. The injected one does have a return pipe you would have to blank (no worries there) but the sender unit for fuel level is a different shape (carb one is round ) where injected one is round with the sides cut off if you get what I mean so you would need the right sender unit. As far as I know all clocks are same but you might ave to modify the wiring for the new sender

eBay item number:
351819831434

eBay item number:
202081496338

These are the two listings with the pics I was looking at (you will need to scroll along to the right photos)
Hope this helps :)
