Nooobie member to a Nooobie site it looks like! :cheer:

Currently restoring a 1979 A1. I'm the original owner. Well over 120k on the clock. Burned oil from day one.

I run a site called the Candy Butt Association, it's kind of poking fun at the Iron Butt Association, of which I'm a member, but more importantly, is where I document the rebuild of the A1.

Hi mate, checked out all the photos, been there and done most of that :-), one great bit of info I did pick up was about the radiator hose, I bought new ones from that german shop, if only i'd known about the one cheap hose I could of gotten that would of done the job, thanks for that info, much appreciated, will write that info down in my manual for any future reference, cheers Pete.

Did you do the motor work your self ? Or send it out? If yes could you tell us the name of the company or person you used? I want to get my motor straightened out.

I do all my own engine work and quite a bit for others as well but shipping it to me in Australia would not be very economical unfortunately.
