I picked up this KZ1300 as a rolling frame and motor for a song. I've done a bit here and there mostly cleaning and painting and added '98 GSXR 750 Forks and brakes on the front. I'm in the process of building a draw through turbo set up with a Garrett TD03 rebuilt with carbon seals and a Mikuni HSR42

Welcome to KZ1300.com Constant!

Very cool project you've gotten into. Did the forks from the Suzuki fit right on the 1300 frame?

Please keep the pics coming.

Thanks Bill, just the top bearing needed to be swapped. All Balls Bearings has a conversion chart here: www.allballsracing.com/index.php/forkconversion

It's almost cheating.

So after swapping out the bearing they bolted right up? A guy on the KZR site is selling a set that he pressed the stem an 1/8" higher in the lower triple for them to work but this sounds even easier. I was going to rebuild the forks on my bike but if I I can find a set locally for cheap I may just go that route.
