Hi All, my name is russell, from alberton gauteng south africa. Have just purchased a 1980 kz1300 all original, bit tatty. would like to smarten her up over the coming months, have a number of bikes, cbx1000 1979 concourse, z650 b1, z650b2, honda 550four k, my weekend cruiser is a voyager vulcan 2010. i want to return the 1300 to it,s former glory. Rode her the other day for the first time, fell in love with her, never felt a bike so smooth, doin 140kph on the highway it was almost like riding a gentle giant.

Hi Guys,
Thanks very much. Had a good look at the z1300 today, basically under a microscope, seems as though she,s not gonna be a jolly green giant, more like a giant green gremlin, discovered a few places where cracks and chips on some covers had been fixed with steel putty, oil leak alerted me after parking her on friday. Busy cleaning out the garage to make place to start on her, this is gonna be a doozy.
Dinosour, thanks a mill, would love to meet sometime and maybe get some pointers, i have picked the hardest for my first build, i kid you not.
