Hi All,
Yes it's another big bore question,
I remember someone here has bought and in the process of fitting the cruzinimage kit, but what I want to know has anyone acually clocked up a load of miles and can say yes there good. The pistons looked ok but it's when you've done a few thousand miles with the engine under load and high revs that you have a better idea, and of course checked the head gasket for leaks.
My engine is using a bit of oil and so will at minimum need rings but for the price of that kit, it's tempting,,,

Cheers Pete.

My friend in Finland bought their big bore kit for the Z1, it went in all right and has worked without problems for three summers now.

Brgs, Lauri

PS I have installed three of their carb kits and again, no problems.

Thanks for the reply Laurie,
At least that's some positive feedback,
But no replys yet from anyone who's bought the kit for the Z13.
I can't remember which of our members showed pics of the kit he purchased from cruzinimage, on ebay (if it's true) it says they have sold over 20.
The German site also has the piston kits but a lot more expensive, having said that I wouldn't question the quality at all, I think the pistons come with a slip coating as well ( forgot what they call it now)
Any feedback would be great thanks,Pete.

I've had mine running with the big bore kit but not managed to get it roadworthy yet.

I think I just need to set the float levels in the carbs, mount, colourtune and rebalance them - but I always find setting the float levels such a PITA job that I keep putting it off.

Perhaps someone else has actually run a kit on the road? I can't see mine being roadworthy until the spring.

Hi, Lets hope you manage to set yours up without too much trouble,
As you say hopefully someone must have used this kit and on the road.

Can you remember the exact bore measuments needed for this kit, is it measured using the top piston ring gap?

I have one of these kits fitted in my other 1300. There has been no issues and the bike runs really well.
Once you have fitted and re assembled the bike please note that only when you are ready to start the bike the last thing is to add the anti freeze to cooling system. You will notice that this will leak around the head gasket, do not panic, run the bike up to normal temperature then shut down. The head gasket will then seal around all water ways and be fine there after. After 500 Kms re torque the head.
Hope this helps
