thats one hell of a barn door on the front and yes it has to go .
make sure you flush the fuel tank before you try to use it and put a filter in the fuel line, it will save you taking the carbs off again
once you have cleaned and checked them.
should keep you busy over the winter months..

Good stuff I like to see pics of these kind of projects from start to finish .
Plenty of info here as already said by others. And just ask for help if you get stuck along the way .
