Hi all!
I'm wondering if anyone has a line on replacements for the switches inside of the handlebar controls. Specifically, the thinner kill switch, like on euro KZ1300s or ZN1300 (also looks like the switch on the left side for turning the auto turn signal on or off).
I've looked everywhere and apparently finding a water/dust proof switch that size (18mm x 5.5mm) is pretty much unobtainium.

Anyway, if anyone has any idea where I could find a replacement, I'd very much appreciate it!

2 things come to mind.
First, When I was looking for the nylon toothed sprocket for the camshaft chain tensioner, I went and talked to my local Kawasaki dealer. He found the part # and checked stock. Nothing to be had in Canada BUT he did find that there were 3 in the warehouse at Kawasaki Japan. He ordered 2 of them and I had them in 6 weeks. So maybe you might get lucky just asking a dealer to check Kawasaki Japan.

Second, some of the guys on the site have been lucky disassembling the switches and cleaning up the contacts. Quite often the spring and ball in the switch needed replacing and they found acceptable replacements from other generic rocker switches.  Just make sure when you seek out a spring that you get a stiff enough spring to do the job and not a spring out of a ball point pen. Cheap rocker switches can be had for under $10 and may be a better source for the spring.
Clean up the contacts with wet/dry sandpaper 400-600 grit. Clean the contact slider shoe. Reassemble with  some silicone grease or better yet, No-Ox grease.
Just be careful when disassembling the switch since the plastic is 45 years old and maybe brittle.
Good luck and let us know how you made out.
