I've seen several ZN1300 Voyagers on this forum that have been modified. Did any of you remove the engine crash bars, and are they in great shape? The one's that came on my '85 were badly crushed by the clamping system of the highway pegs. All of them I see on eBay are usually badly crushed the same way, or drilled, or have had tabs welded on for driving lights. I would like to find some that have no dents, crushed areas, drilled holes, tabs welded on or sides that have been ground flat on the pavement. Is there such an animal? Or, do I have to make up my own? Maybe I should just make some out of round solid bar so I can add highway pegs, too, without crushing anything!

If anybody has a pair that are restorable by simply polishing smooth again and rechroming, I would be interested.
