I see he now has headlight buckets for sale, the proper rectangular ones, sometimes I think it might be cheaper to buy a 3D printer and make my own bits and pieces, wonder how that would work out ??

Look up "Kawasaki GPZ Headlight Bucket" on Ebay. They're identical to the KZ1300 buckets, and so long as the mounting holes aren't cracked and horrible, any surface issues can be bondo-ed out and painted.

Got my replacement bucket for 20 bucks. Re-sold my (not nearly as good of shape) "KZ1300" bucket (same thing) for nearly $50.

Unfortunately, Kawasaki wasn't as good as Honda when it came to re-using the same parts on 300 different models of motorcycle. Still, you CAN cheat here and there...

See it all the time on ebay, for example seller selling 750 turbo side cover $80.00, same seller selling side cover for gpz 750 n/a bike $25.00  even though they fit each other people fall for it, but unless your buying it because you don't want to paint it fair enough I guess

I see he now list new production pistons, subtract the 19% tax and the price is pretty good, unless you live in Germany...

He used to sell NOS piston kits but they were over $1000. :pinch:

Lucien... you see that all the time. Take any standard Kawasaki part and add Z1 to the description and the e-bay price doubles.

Nice tip about the headlight bucket. Also Dennis Kirk sells replacement turn signals for the kz1000's that are identical to the kz1300 except they are chrome, paint them black and you have the same thing for a fraction of the cost. Or leave them they look just fine either way.

You can get radial tyres to fit the Z13s now. The combination that seems to work is the Avon Azaro rear and Bridgestone BT045 front. Gets heaps better miles than the old bias ply tyres.
