Wow!!! I am speechless.. I feel your pain and frustration imagining the time when you were discovering the hidden 'treasures' in the bike. I want even mention what it cost you monetarily... I was also lied to by the guy who sold me my bike. I knew the obvious - rusted outside, parts missing, but that was fine with the oblivious to the rarity and costs of simple original parts for these bikes. Soon enough after I started working on the bike I discovered my 'treasures'. The head, all cylinders rusty and so so. You probably know what I am talking about if you read my resurrection thread. It's been almost like building the bike from scratch. I spent already at least 5 times what I thought it will cost to have it running, and I still need a couple things. And I hope the electronic components will work. I totally agree with you - I don't trust others with mechanical jobs, unless I know them and seen their work or hear about their reputation. I hope you can find another one eventually to cure your bad after taste. I just can't wait to see mine on the ground.
