I'm aware these bikes run hot but but mine seems to shoot right up to the "H" mark after about 10 minutes of riding and then runs like crap. I bled all the air out of the system as prescribed by the Kawasaki manual. I upgraded to the ZN1300 fan switch,Muzzy fan, insulated the bottom radiator hose, have a oil cooler and even found some after market radiator ducts on eBay that assisted in directing more air through the motor. All I can think of it's either I have a lean condition or a bad thermostat? Or did I install my fan backwards? Please advise thank you.

Does it do this even when the bike is in motion? If it does, it sounds like a bad thermostat. Good thing the part is shared with zn bikes so it's easy to find a cheap replacement.

Might be a longshot, but also check that your impeller is functioning and circulating the coolant.

If you short the wires on the fan switch (temp sensor) does the air blow towards the front through the rad or does it blow back towards the engine that will tell you if you wired it in right or not.

The fan is wired correctly I was thinking the actual fan was installed backwards? or does it matter ?I didn't see anything on the muzzy fan indication forward or rotational direction?
