Very interesting.  What was the fault with the engine which necessitated the reconditioning? How is it performing now?  Which paint did you use to achieve that good finish on the engine, please?

Well, there was no fault actually, apart of the fact that the engine performance was after 50000 km. not that fresh. So now its better loke I suspected, because strech of the chains was leaning to the limit side.

Yes, I can see the primary and secondary chains are new and the timing will be much closer. Looks like you're doing really nice work. And apparently, not afraid to dive in head first. Kudos.

Good job! I especially like the 'agressive' cylinder honing.. should allow those rings to set nicely and the engine not be a 'smoker'..

Yes I thought that too, first 400-500 km some oil has disappeared but after while when I took the engine to the red line couple of times after 1000-1500 km oil consumption is almost gone. How much still I don't know but its very little in comparison to previous state. Rings have set in and in the oil on the plug some magnetic sludge have accumulated, very little but still. Im really pleased with the results. Preparation for long trips almost complete, still have to sort some laguage site cases, the best would be original vetter thoes square one but will see what commes up for me.
Greetings !
