Has anyone out there had any experience with their 1300 with this product (or similar) ?

In principle, it looks to be good idea / solution.

As the sump (oil pan) plug on many 1300's is forward facing, it will not make it impractical on a length or protrusion basis (as it would with a DOWN facing plug).

I have used a similar type at work on our construction and dump trucks because of hyd hoses interference and they work great however they all have downward facing drain plugs.
