The U.K. bike didn’t have the clean air system fitted. You can blank off the reed valves on the cam cover and the air box.

Just get rid of it altogether, you really dont need it.

It was only ever fitted to US and Canadian KZ models for their countries emission standards and has absolutely no effect or benefit to the performance. It just "farts" unsued exhaust gasses back into your airbox...............nothing else.
As Mizz states, just block off the 2 small cam cover plates and plug the hole in your airbox. It saves you weight and is less to go wrong and less unecessary pipework and mess under the tank.
If it WAS important or worthwhile, they would have fitted it to the Z1300 Euro models too...............which they did not and they have exactly the same power and perfomance.

Its the same with ZRX1200 models too, and all owners in the UK ditch it as soon as they buy a bike............just look at the UK owners forum.

Canadian KZ1300s- at least the earlier ones, didn't have the system fitted either.
