undefined Hi all, I'm new to the forum but have read everything I could on the subject of head gaskets.
What seems the difficulty of using the aftermarket head gasket versus the factory gasket?
They appear to be the same in construction, What am I missing.

Hi to my knowledge original head gasket has silicon seal around the water channels, and aftermarket gasket don't have this. Apart of that, the fire ring seams to be the same on both. I had the original one in and also aftermarket gasket, with the second one no probs till now. When installing aftermarket gasket i have used sealant around the channels on the top and bottom of the gasket.
I forgot to add, original gasket seams to be some what "sticky" on the surface.
