Anyone have a good method to hold the impeller against the spring of the mechanical seal while the circlip is installed?

I lost my circlip to a parallel universe over the weekend and have ordered another 10 (I still have another 9 somewhere from the last time I did this job but ordering more was easier than searching for my spares!)

Long time since I did a replacement pump seal but seem to recall using a pair of long pointy nose pliers opened to press against the impeller whilst you position the clip with circlip pliers ?
Dont forget the O'Ring on the shaft behind the clip itself !!

It can be tricky but as pointed out, some method of pushing the impellor back against the mechanical-seal spring is required to get the cir-clip groove exposed. I've also used a pair of pliers (spread open) to do this.

Bucko, I'd be up for a couple if you find them. Cheers.
