Looking for a shop manual that provides the correct wiring diagram and diagnostic information for the pick ups. The shop manual I have is for US and Canadian Models and only refers to the Japanese models. My Pick up plug only has four wires and not the six as described in my shop manual. I need help with the color codes and the OHMs so that i can test my pick ups. Bike Serial number JKAKZAA1 5CAO15324 (KZT30A) MODEL YEAR 1982.

Page 360 in the "KZ1300 Kawasaki Service Manual" located on the Home Page of this site as Mizztheman indicated in previous post shows the testing procedure and page 363 is the wiring diagram for your 1982 KZ1300-A4 model. There's a whole section dedicated to the 1982 as a supplement.

Thank you. Probably fallen for a bike model that may need more than I can give but I haven't given up. (9) 81s & 82s to get back on the road plus (2) CBXs.

Thank you. I have printed the pages and will be working on the bike today. With 9 kz1300s to resurrect, there are days that I am not sure I'll even get one back on the road. Thank you again!
