Ok so we all know I don't know much about the Voyager (I am learning)
with the shocks set where they should be the rear seems to drop when we get on the bike
It does bounce a little going down the road
how would I check to see if the air shocks need to be replaced or ? what should I check?
The gauge reads the same all the time
so I don't think (yeah I know lol) it has a air leak
Thanks

You REALLY need to get the manuals for that bike. The supplement manual talks about those shocks a bit and there is a download on the home page here that is for troubleshooting problems. You've got a lot of reading to do!

Contrary to what most riders think and DO, it is recommended to get off the bike and set it on the center stand to adjust the air in the forks or the rear shocks. I think you will find that it won't drop as much with both of you on it if you do it this way. That guage does not give real-time readings after the shocks have been adjusted. While you are adjusting them the valve opens to the guage too, but closes when you are done. On my '83 I added another guage that did show actual real-time pressure, but I never really needed it.

I suggest setting the bike on it's center stand and adjusting the rear shocks to their indicated max, then both of you get one. I think you will be happy with it if they are in good condition. I have not heard yet of any of these shocks failing in the shaock function, just the air-suspension function. Lots of Voyager owners swap them out for Progressive (brand) shocks, though. Lucasind posted a pic of his on here somewhere. Maybe he will show up and post it again?

How are you checking your air pressure. The transmission has to be in neutral and select "check" button. The front or rear button will be selected. At trikbldr suggests the bike should be on the center stand and the manual (supplement) suggests jacking when checking the front pressure. The recommended damper setting for normal riding ( no extra weight load and 68Kg/150lbs) is "2". My normal setting is 3 and to 4 when two up riding. Air pressure is adjusted higher for 2 up as well. Hope this is helpful.

I did the center stand and pulled the valve to let all air / water etc out
It was 80 here sat and we both were off work so we were able to ride all day
She rode a lot better

Did I show you guys this?

I bought a shifter for a Voyager cut it flipped it and
welded it to make a heal toe shifter
works great

Thanks Guys
