When I went to pick up my Voyager last summer this bike was on their lot! It was absolutely beautiful! It actually looks much better than he makes it out to be in this video. I never noticed all the little chips he pointed out, they are just so small. They even detailed it underneath so it looks better than factory! It's just a damn good thing my little trailer couldn't handle the weight of my Voyager AND this one! $8900.

After taking mine out for a test ride to feel the slipping clutch, he let me take this one out for about 1/2 hour on the local freeways! I think he was trying to get me to upgrade to it, or buy BOTH! Oh, BABY! I almost rented a bigger U-Haul trailer!

Since you have one I just thought you might like to hear one with six straight pipes! I can't believe it could be legal when you roll the throttle on full at about 4200+rpm! Makes me want to make up a set of six straight pipes for my Voyager.

Enjoy! (he fires it up at about 2:40 in the video)

And then I ran across this, and a couple of others with these Cobra exhausts! But, I'll bet you already knew all of this, huh?

Hey Bruce, Thanks for the videos. I've been riding my Valk since 2001 (it's a 2000 model) and while I agree that those Cobra exhaust have a good sound, I'd have a hard time parting with the horse power that they cost. The stock exhaust dynos better.

I've only made two modifications to my Valk. The first was that I swapped the stock triple clamp for an after market set up manufactured by "Two Brothers". The Two Brothers triple clamp reduced the 6" trail to 4.5" which reduces the steering force needed, especially at parking lot speeds. The second was a switch to a 6 degree timing wheel which added mid range power, not that I needed it but there can never be too much power. Some day I'll change out that big pig front wheel and tire to reduce the bike's tendency to track the stud grooves that are all too common here in Central Oregon.

Regards

As a lover of the old Naked Gold wings, I've always had a soft spot for the 1500 Valkyries. I WILL own one at some point. Maybe after I get my fleet of creaky old bikes together and running for longer than a summer...
