Pete, awesome stuff you usualyl do not get anymore anywhere- thanks for posting. I am still looking for information about the race around Austrailia- according to what I have it is not sure if is was a Z1300 or a Z1000 (my opinion: of course the 13) and the guy did the tour in roughly 7 days. According to what I heard it was a cop.

Anything on your side about it ?

Awesome pics, can imagine to wrestele with the beast THAT way ...

I had a newspaper clipping about that ride Holger but haven't been able to find it for a few years.
It was 2 cops but one of them didn't finish, I think due to a prang of sorts. I can't remember if it was just under or over the 7 days

I was at that meet at Bathurst or at least I think I was. It was a 12 hour race and Graeme Crosby a Kiwi won on a Z1300 exactly the same as mine. When he finished the exhausts were about half gone from dragging on the tarmac but his times were improving because his corners were faster, well that's what he said.

Amazing pics: I had never heard of anyone racing a Z13: can't imagine what a handful it would be trying to race one

I remember as young guy (think I owned a Kettle / Water Buffalo at the time), watching TV and seeing Arto Nyquist stunting a Z13. Now I own a Z13 I really can appreciate how bloody brave (and crazy) he was.
