My other love is a blue and wihite (the Williams color scheme they called it) 2002 BMW R1150GS. My Z1300 can go faster, I'm sure. The beemer can go anywhere. She's a reliable and ugly cow.

A couple of other bikes come to mind: in the long ago past was a beautiful, new, 1972, blue H2 Kawasaki triple. Sold long ago; but as for my favorite that I have now, it would have to be a 1971 Norton Commando. A sometimes fussy old bike but I love it!!

Had a few bikes over the many years, all Jap bikes to tell the truth, still love the old CB750 fours, saw a few restored and they bring back memories of late nights and heaps of fun, out with the mates (also on 750 4's), doing laps in town and picking up chicks .. heck showing my age now :-)
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

I used to have a Yamaha XT-600 which I tried to modify more into the direction of a hardcore-endure which brought me some friends from the local police. That thing was absolutely reliable, brought me to work summer and winter and 3 times to the holiday in the French Alps.

However, I could have chosen I would have tried a V-Max (just to know it) as well as the Honda CB-350/ 550/ 750 four series. Those are quite rare over here.

A friend of mine used have (and still has) a Yamaha RD-350 YPVS. On one occasion we used to swith bikes (this versus my Z1300) - you know how much different that feels. We also used to "compete" on a very narrow road which curves through the local landcsape - I just had to follow the blue smoke that he left ...

regards,

Holger
