Latest news, another reply, seems they checked an airfilter they had on the shelf with the airbox they have and they said it is slighty too big, but not that big, they implied that my box has somehow shrunk or warped over the years, I did reply that a cheap paper filter fitted perfectly, but they have offered to send me a free new one when they remake them to a smaller size, hey i'll take anything if it's free, even if I have to grind a bit of plastic off the next one also, cheers

So I talked to Kevin Floody today @ K&N and offered my air box and new in the box air filter as an analog sample.

Kevin indicated no additional help is needed at this time.

We're in the same time zone so if any KZ sample parts are needed he has my name and # if needed.

Hi Todd, did Kevin indicate if they would replace those filters that wouldn't fit with the new one that they indicated they would develop? I would really like to have a K&N filter but I don't want to have to grind up the airbox to do so.
Cheers

I am not a big fan of K&N filters. They may be cheaper in the long term but don't filter as well as the paper type.
