Hi All,

Quick question: Would the bike notice if this hardware and hoses under the frame and over the engine were gone? I understand I'd have to block any open ends but am wondering if any of these hoses function like a crankcase breather (for example)? Looking to strip out anything I don't need.

Thank You, Louis

Hi Louis,

We've had a discussion about that system here:

www.kz1300.com/index.php/forum/engines/2...-connectins-kz1300a1

Most of us have removed that system with no ill effects. Todd has a different opinion and makes some good points to support it.

Thanks

This part was never working on UK bikes, we just get blanking plates to cover the holes in the rocker cover and thats it.
my bike runs fine without it
i think you will find it has something to do with emission in the USA.

Thanks All,
Fortunately bikes don't get the scrutiny of autos for emissions equipment.

Cannot reprogram the subaru however.
