Look like I'm gonna be rebuilding the water pump on my '81 KZ1300 again. I did it 12 or 15 years ago and at that time I was worried that the impeller shaft was ruined because the section that is exposed to the coolant was severely corroded. The drain on the front of the engine is weeping again so here it comes.
Do any of you know if replacement shafts are available?

Hi Bill, I know we can get them in the uk if you are stuck but pretty expensive at £138 [not sure what that is in dollars] obviously you would have shipping on that but if you cant find an alternative let me know and i can send you a link, just checked and there is a German site that also has them[cheaper] www.z1300.de
