I'm jealous, wanted one of these for a long time (had some issues with a specialist insulation company that we took to court - and won!) but so expensive

Very happy with the FLIR camera. Video is too long, but to a gear head, not long enough?

Amazing detail with the MSX overlay. Got to like that!! I can see the 3 temp readings top middle and bottom in the video. They are very light in detail. maybe you could adjust the temp imprints in the camera set up.
Still, it looks like you've got to the bottom of the problem (burping).
Now i have to go out and buy that damned FLIR one Pro. I came really close to pulling the trigger on a used FLIR C2 @ $350 CDN that was listed as "new in the box" The C2 was discontinued a few years back and I was concerned that the battery if not kept charged, would need replacing and it's a Lithium Ion 3.7V with a pigtail. Very specific and after sending an email to FLIR.com, I got a reply telling me parts are no longer available including a battery, so that nixed that.
Then i thought I'd bite the bullet and get the Seek Compact which uses the battery from the smartphone for power. it also has 4 times the resolution of the FLIR one (not pro) but the image without the MSX overlay leaves a lot to be desired.
Thanks for the post of your testing. It now has me convinced that FLIR One Pro will be my choice. Now I have to shop for price.
Awesome Dude !!!

There are 3? different temp imprints available... IIRC. So far haven't found a way to make them more visible. Too bad the IR scale, max to min temp doesn't record either.

I hope so. Chasing other issues now.. Need to extend rear inner fender that was chopped 'back in day' for some reason or another and try and find huge vdc loss in the main harness.

I'm not a big fan of smart phone accessories that don't work when internal batteries die or OS is updated.. Going through that issue now with a borescope.

Awesome Dude !!!

So, do you think my radiator is good? What do you think of the heat distribution / temperature drop across the radiator and uniformity in cylinder block aNd head? That was the whole reason for this $$ experiment.. :)

I would have a look at the vertical blue stripe that is in the middle of the rad and then crosses the bottom of the rad to the right. If it was just the vertical single line, I would say it was a blocked tube but the horizontal tail is odd. I would want to understand this. I don't see it as a problem, just an irregularity.
I'd have to play around with the temperature scaling on the camera to get more familiar, but from what I see, it all looks good. There's nothing obvious to worry about.

A very intereting video that !

Am I missing something or is your Rad Cap on the opposite side of the Rad to other 1300's ??

Looking at the FRONT of the Rad, I have only ever seen the Rad Cap to the right hand side.............yours in to the Left ??
