For what it's worth; I bought one of these recently, for the bike.

Temporarily running off a battery pack used to recharge cell-phones I have a proper voltage reducer on order so I can wire it into the bikes power.

For the price, the 1080P video is very good quality. Because of where it's mounted, the wind noise obliterates the engine sound at speeds over 20-30 KPH.

I'm playing around with a small wind deflector at the microphone location in an attempt to improve that sound quality.
I was impressed enough with this little camera that I bought a second one for my vehicle to use it as it was designed for initially - a dash-cam. I draw a distinction between "Dash-Cams" and "Video cameras" - that's another topic.

Looking forward to reading a review on this new toy. I've been wanting to put a dash cam on all of my vehicles since getting rear ended in the back of my Ford F250 by a hit and run driver. Nailed me at a stop light doing about 70 KMH while texting on her phone, then took off. I chased her down and got the licence plate number make and model only to be told by the police that the plate didn't belong to a car of that make and color. Both the wife and I read the licence plate and 3 way communicated and verified the number after writing it down.Had we had the dash camera, there would be no issues with the info we provided. $2000 damage to the truck by a Saturn (plastic wrapped car)
