Can any UK Owners of Z/KZ1300 please let me know who the best and most cost effective company are for insuring my 39 year old standard KZ1300?

Ive been using them (as are most of my classic owning mates) - for years and always found them helpful and cost competitive: also very easy to get an agreed value etc.
Nice that whenever you call them you get a freindly "Brummie" to chat with.

I have been with Carole Nash for years... first with my 1978 Shovelhead, and then with my KZ1000P. They have always been competitive.

Same here, for about 20 years, I still play the same game with them come every renewal though & usually get a few quid knocked off. Less than 200 quid for the 1300 & a Yam MT-01

Phil, I see your bike is slightly customised: shocks, steering bar, brakes and exhaust from what I can see.

Do you declare that the bike has been changed from standard spec when seeking insurance?

Yes, I informed them from the off that it was modified & they asked what the modifications were. Their answer was that in their eyes, better brakes / handling is a lower risk so they don't load the premium.
