While you're at it - could you see if he has another set and a headlamp?

Any help I can get on my projects is always appreciated! It's nice to know I don't have to suffer through it all alone lol :).

I've got a shopping list of stuff I still need to do and still have a long list of parts I'll still need before I even have one bike at 100% and ready to show off.

If you can check on specific stuff I need a lot of little things lol. Just been holding off on looking for it until I have the money to pay for it all :). In addition to the brackets I'd need the headlight, the light's bucket, a new seat (or just an unrusted seatpan), 1980 igniter and just two original blinker assemblies. At least those are at the top of my list of things I can pull from donor bikes.

So many things to do and the wife and kids hardly leave me any garage time during the week :(

I always get a good laugh out of them. I haunt fleabay for parts BMW K100 and Z13) and some of the prices are hilarious. Even if I were doing a concourse resto I wouldn't pay that price for the headlight brackets if it were the last ones on the planet. There was a set on US eBay that went for $170 or roundabout that and I thought that was bad.

Ahhh an unrusted seat pan, if only someone would make some new ones I'd buy one, heck even a fibreglass replica would be great, a reasonable one is just so rare, top of my wish list, cheers

I have a fiberglass-sea tbottom that had been made by Wilfried in Germany. He also has tons of spares, but of course wants money for it.

Try it out:

It is to be hoped that the likes of Z1300de Germany expand their range of re manufactured parts.
Maybe, as a group, we could, at some stage, look into the practicalities of having certain parts manufactured again. It p***** me off that Kawasaki has discontinued so much, but I suppose they can't keep making spares for ever when there is a diminishing demand for them.
