It was the Z1 annual ride-out to the metropolis that is Skegness here in the UK. (Nearest thing we have to Vegas)
Stayed dry and some nice bikes turned up: met Gavin from these hallowed pages on his Blue Z13.
Some pics of the meet up:

Nice to see a bunch of Kaw Boys gathered for a rodeo and I see you managed to plant the watercooled umongst the air cooled. Nice !! Some nice looking units showed up. Lots of great looking paint, but what's up with the seats? I've seen some pretty impressive work done on reproduction seats and custom seats in vinyl that would challenge factory upholstery and I'm wondering if there's a need for a really good source for that kind of work or is it out there and guys just can't find them? That's my question of the day.

So please don't take this as a criticism. it's not meant tot be. It's more of an observation which begs the question.

John, got to agree with you re the seats  there are a few very good seat retsorer / re-cover specialists in the UK, that make near OEM quality work: I've had some great results on previous restos where I've had seat bases re-foamed & covered (Z13, CBX, Water Buffalo etc)

Irony is you can easilly buy very good replica covers and complete seats for the Z900 & Z1000 models, whick look 100% orioginal - but I guess to some they would not be original.
