here in europe we have mostly 95 and 98 unleaded fuel, and something called v-power.
which would be best for my z1300 and z1000st?

i run mine on super unleaded. 98ron. theres less ethanol mixed with the fuel.
Z1300 A4 ZG1300 DFI X2
Z1261J GS1000S
Vmax1200 XT500

so no additives to compensate for the lead? I was just reading about unleaded being not so good for older engines, I was wondering
what you guys put in.. I dont see it mentioned in the manual.

Bassie, I always run my Z13 (and Z900) on the highest octane fuel I can get, just to minimise the percentage of ethanol being added: got fed up with repairing fuel taps, replacing fuel hoses etc The last straw came when the tank lining failed on my Z900 due to ethanol :angry:
Re Lead Additives: you should not need to them, as (I was informed by an oil/fuel shipper) all the Japanese manufactures compensated for this on their engines built after 1971.

Shell V-Power is recognised here as ethanol free in N.A because Shell guarentee it has no ethanol. It is this alcohol that is doing the damage on engines not designed for it's use. Use the best/ most expensive fuel you can buy. A motorcycle doesn't use much.
