I don't know how many of you have had dealings with Pit at Bike Upholstery in Thailand (www.bikeupholstery.com), but what a pleasant chap to deal with! I have now purchased a couple of 1300 seat covers and an XT500 seat cover from him, all of which have been perfect and very much like the original part. Great service and am very pleased.

Hello Homer01, herewith pics and site address as requested. I think I paid $79 per cover which included worldwide shipping. This seat cover has been on my bike for about 4 months now and plenty km under the belt already. It comes with the strap as well.
I have sent pictures to Pit, so he may use them on his site as only the cover is shown.

Thanks Craig B) they look real good and well priced, the one I was looking at would have cost me $100 + extra for strap then postage on top. I think I will invest in one of them. thanks

Hi Craig, how's that seat cover working for you now that's its aging?
Thanks for 'Pit's' link and I'll reach out to him as I need to find the foam too.
Was you cover just glued down around the edges to keep it stretched, I only ask as I don't have the original pan to look at.
Many thanks and if you have any further insight regards foam do let me know.
Cheers

With the foam you have to find "high density foam" as a motorcycle seat is different to a lounge chair, any good upholsterer should have some, I also got a new cover for a later model pan I bought off of a member, from Thailand, very good quality, was looking good till my bloody cat used it as a scratching pad, but the top is double layered so only small claw holes in the outside layer, will change it one day and maybe skin the cat and use it as a seat cover :-)
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF
