My 1300 idles fine but when I crack the throttle quickly the bike bogs down. It can't seem to make the transition from idle to wot smoothly unless I role on the throttle slowly. Is it the pilot jet ?According to my calibration chart when the issue occurs in the 1/8 to 1/4 throttle position the issue is a slow pilot jet? If so what size is the stock pilot jet? and how many sizes should I go up?BTW I am running a ceramic coated DG pipe and 105 main jets and my mixture screws are turned between 3 1/2 and 4 turns and all spark plugs are a tan color.

I already dropped the needle to the forth position due to a lean condition from 1/2 to wide open throttle.It sounded like fire crackers when I had it gunned! Dropping the needle did resolve that issue now but I think I will also go the next size up on the main jets. The ceramic coating on the exhaust makes the bike run leaner I guess? I'm pretty sure it's the pilot jets I just want confirmation from the 1300 gurus before I lay out my doe.

You need to put in 110 main jets and set the air screws to 3,5 turns out as your starting point

Hi Kenny,

Also check that your chokes are opening together (carbs balanced). Can you get your hands on a set of vacuum gauges? I had a similar problem with the motor lagging as I opened the throttle. I borrowed some gauges and found that the carbs were seriously out of sync. Adjusted them and all seems ok now. Just another check before you go out spending again.

I have a set of Emgo vacuum gauges and all the carbs are in sync. 110 jets ? I thought 105's were the way to go with the DG pipe?I have a set of 110's that came with a carb rebuild kit I purchased last year and never used.I guess I will go back to the lab and install them for shits and giggles.BTW these are my carbs after the rebuild
