Hi All,

My bike is operating at low pressure, it seems that the carburator requires some skilled hands on to perform a regular cleaning or maintenance. I was told by some friends that 6 cylinder bikes have this issue and by the time, this will always happen... no matter if you want or not... it's the destiny of such kind of engines.

Have you ever faced any similar issue? What do you guys recommend to address this?

I don't want to take this epic bike to regular guy who is not prepared to handle a 6 cylinder bike.

Cheeers,

Really it is only 3 carbys, they are double throats, and work on one butterfly shaft for each one, a good set of vacuum gauges and a colortune plug is all you need to set them up. I'm no expert, but with those tools I got my old '79 model running well, it just takes some patience. If you take it to some motorcycle mechanics make sure you find one who has a bit of age and experience with carbys, they don't need a university degree to work on a 13 :-). Just check the fuel level on each one, get that within specs, do the balance and use the colortune plug to get the mixture right and all will be well, each cylinder will work well together and not be fighting against each other, cheers
