I'm putting together my 85 Voyager with fuel injection and I have a question about the regulator. There is a vacuum hookup on the bottom and I can't figure out where the other end connects to. The manual says that is goes to a 4 way plug but I'm can't find a 4 way anywhere.

Does anybody know where the other end of this vacuum hose goes?

Thanks for your help!!!

Unless I am mistaken, it should just go to a straight vacuum source.

I do not see any electrical switch or solenoid which operates that regulator.

the 4 way plug is probably a vacuum "T". I cannot see a diagram of that "T" anywhere in the placards or in the DFI troubleshooting manuals.

Most vacuum hose routing only covers the evaporative emissions canister.

If you cannot find that T or a place to connect that hose to, you may need to go to a parts house and obtain one.

Make sure you use thick-wall vacuum hose, so it does not collapse under vacuum.

Regards.

I am not real familiar with the DFI on Kawasakis but the vacuum will go to manifold vacuum somewhere. The reason for it is to increase the fuel pressure under hard acceleration which increases the fuel injected and enriches the mixture just as a throttle pump on a carb does.

I was able to figure it out. When the manual mentioned a 4 way it didn't say it was 3 large hoses and 1 small. I envisioned a 4 way being 4 hoses of the same size.

All's well, at least I know where it goes.
