In my last post I said when the bike starts it's eye watering with over fueling, after reading through some of the previous posts it said to check the fuel return valve as it maybe stuck shut.
This was the case and having now freed off the valve, I decided to give the bike a good service, new plugs, clean the air filter, new oil and filter etc.
Problem is now, is that the bike now doesn't really want to run.
The fast idle lever makes no difference, I've had to turn the idle screw up just to get it to tick over.
If I try to rev it, it cuts out, if I try very gently to rev it it stutters then takes off revving madly.
Now if I clamp the return hose shut, it ticks over, revs perfectly but is back to massively overfueling.
I'm assuming with the return valve working it must be running very lean.
How do I enrich the mixture?
Where do I start, will it be to do with the TPI?
This is on a Voyager, should they be different to the ZG's
Thanks again for any advice, Mark.

The DFI control unit has a fault code display window, I believe. Is it showing anything? If so, the service manual will explain the meaning of the code.

Over-revving can be an indication of a vacuum leak.

You need to measure the fuel delivery pressure. If the return valve was clogged, chances are the fuel pressure relief valve is also clogged. if the delivery pressure is not right, nothing will work.

Check the fuel rail pressure, at idle it should be about 34 psi, when revved it should rise to about 36 psi. Also check for fault codes in the DFI control box window.

Hi Phil, Ok, I've ordered my pressure gauge, thinking of ordering a FPR with gauge, any recommendations?
Thanks Mark.
