Hi, the conversation here is getting very interesting and i understand, that battling some of the unexplained BSW32 carburetor behavior can be really frustrating. It got me to the point where i have installed the camera inside of the air box to see what is going on with the slide and the needle while riding, because of the air fuel mixture became so rich (lambda value below 0,68) on sudden wot that the engine almost stall despite standard jetting and the fuel level at 8 mm Maybe you find this interesting.

Daro - AWES0ME! Thank you - this is the first time for me to see this, and on a KZ1300! Would be great to see all 3 at the same time. Sounds like a high tech project.

There is a shiny area appearing in the left low corner at times. I wonder what's that related to.

Well, first off......That's a remarkable video - Kudos to you !!!!

And.......It clearly shows why you're having the issues you've been trying to solve.

You've got a serious problem with "Fuel Stand-Off"

"Google" the topic. It's not difficult to understand the principle but resolving the problem could be frustrating. You're probably going to have to resort to a completely different air-filter system which incorporates "Velocity Stacks". The challenge will be in getting the correct stack length and bell-end shape.

Those slides appear to be very lazy from just off idle to mid power levels. Not what I'm used to seeing on most bikes. Almost as if the bike is running on the idle circuit until you get on it and then WOT on the slides. Not progressive at all.
Thanks for taking the video and sharing. At this point, not sure what to make of it.

Daro wrote: Hi, thanks everyone for the input, but maybe we should move this to the new thread, because it may get long and actually Frank wanted to solve his lean idle problem so we don't mix everything up. Maybe Kawboy could have a look at it.

Done. We'll continue this subject under " Correcting carburetor A/F ratio "
