Advice required please !

I need to replace the petrol pipe on my 1979 A1 and also want to fit a new small indiscreet inline petrol filter.

Its been a long time since I did this update on a 1300 so would appreciate any upto date advice on which fuel pipe and inline filter is best to use (from UK suppliers) and the best route for the pipe itself from the Petrol Tap (Petcock) to the carb inlet.

Thanks

Pete F

Hi Pete

The smallest fuel filter I could find that did the job was one of these ......Fuel Filter WIX 33027 - on eBay for about £15.

cheers

Thanks Billy,

Thats on the lines of what I was hoping for.

Does it have 6mm or 8mm inlet / outlet ?

Thanks

Pete

my 2 cents- With all the trouble we seem to have with the carbs on the KZ, I'd like to see a finer filter used. This is a 15 micron filter which also has 1/4" feed in and out which is a better match for the 6mm fuel line than the 5/16" of the 33027. You'll note that this filter is identified as an Oregon product which suggests Chain saw. and at 15 micron, more likely to plug up sooner, possibly depending on the supplier of the fuel you use. Just something to consider and that's the only reason I throw it out there for your consideration.
