Thought it timely to bring this up again as it's buried three+ years ago and addresses stans query regarding this problem.

If anyone has to reassemble theirs, make sure the phonelic cone (the part with the holes in it) goes back in the way it came out. Assembled mine onetime 180 off to where the holes did not align properly. When I hit reserve on the next ride guess what, no fuel flow............

I scratched my head over this one myself. If you look down into the tap from the tank side with the cone inserted you can rotate it around to where it make sense according to the tap position stamping on the cover.
