Hey all,

Reached a small milestone today.
I cranked the old girl up for the first time since I started my restoration ( since I bought it actually ).
I only ran it very briefly as it still hasn't got the exhaust or radiator system fitted, but at least it started with no dramas and didn't have any weird noises.
The only hiccup was for some stupid reason I hadn't tightened one of the carb drain screws properly and had fuel spew out everywhere. I initially thought it was a stuck float and it was flooding but on closer inspection found the screw loose . Tightened it up..all good.
Can't wait for everything else to arrive so I can put it on and finish the job.

Must feel great - mine did not start properly for the first 10 years, so you are way ahead - the rest will be even better

The exhaust is on it's way and when that is fitted it will be on with all the cooling system.
Am still waiting for the spray painter to get back to me, bit of a pain but he's good so will have to wait.
Will try to upload some photos of where I am up to at the moment.
Have just moved house so everything is in a bit of a mess.
