Any info on this?

According to Patrzilla, it's a

As you will know, Stan, Japanese 10mm threads are usually 1.25mm pitch, ( and sometimes 1.00mm ) compared to the more common pitch of 1.5mm. Perhaps that engine mounting bolt is 1.25mm pitch. I remember coming up against this when I was assembling my Yamaha XS Eleven many years ago.

Your bike is looking truly great!

Kawboy:

NUT,10MM

I went to Kawasaki and they tried to confirm exactly what size the nut is, and that's also what the guy came up with which I already knew - 10 mm. He gave me a brand new stainless steel locking nut and it didn't fit - wrong pitch. Had a whole box of different ones, so it was also the wrong pitch - on my side! haha
I think I will just pull that thing out, go back and have it matched. Good excuse for going for a ride.

Thank you biltonjim! I find myself patting it randomly like if it was my pet dog, hahaha True story. Still unfinished, but I pull the covers sometimes just to look at it . Almost feels like I have a young sexy girlfriend! hahaha

Posting because it's simply a milestone which for a long time felt like it will never happen. Have to add a bit more to compensate what the oil filter grabbed to soak his guts.
The water pump seals had been treated with Lucas engine assembly lubricant, so I am not afraid to crank the engine. But I will wait for the next time and a video making until I attach the radiator and fill the system with coolant.

Biltonjim - there are a few small cosmetic things like those rear turn signals I will take care of. At this moment, I just don't want to do anything more than making sure everything works and the bike runs. I have spares, so it will be easy to take care of swapping simple things like turn signal housing, replacing a simple electrical connector, doing some paint touch ups. It's been mostly about resurrection, not a total complete overhaul from the ground up, to make a museum showroom piece. I'm pretty close but it's mostly about having a good looking and working bike. All is good :)

It took decades for some members to figure out how to update and upgrade, I'm doing good and very happy getting this bike this far with the help and guidance of the members of the forum and the resources on the forum itself, and a touch of direct support of a couple members. The thought exchange with scotch and his surprise early Christmas presents had been invaluable, and I am eternally grateful to biltonjim for blessing me with the set of the for ears. As well as kawboys 'welcome to the forum' set of carburetor seals. Lauri with speedo needles and the boot. All is good, did I say it before! haha I am a happy man, man!! It's a work in progress, we all know it! :) Thank you all for everything so far. Now back to the bike for another few minutes before riding it in my dreams. For now ;)

I think that most of us will be excited when you get to the stage where you push the starter button for the first time. It's been an engrossing, and at times entertaining restoration, made all the more admirable given the imperfect working conditions. Those of us who have yet to embark upon their own restorations will undoubtedly learn something advantageous from Stan's experiences, and from the input of the forum members who have offered their advice along the way.
Keep at it Stan. The winning post, and six-cylinder motorcycling, will soon be more than a dream!

Thank you biltonjim!

A funny thing, I actually put a 100 meters on the bike already. Sitting on a chair and spinning the front wheel by hand! hahaha
Now I know the counter is working :)
