Top job Ian, that looks impressive work.
I get nervous about something as basic as fixing the starter clutch or changing the CCT
Cheers Tim

powder coaters booked for next week.

Nice!! I see by your setup you've got some pipefitting/welding experience. Tig welding or Mig? I love my Thermal Arc 186 with pulse tig. I modified a rad fan housing which is .032" sheetmetal and tigged it all up.

Got a nice little weldstar TIG, ideal for this sort of thing. the only issue i can see will be the bottom joint
where i get close to the original weld. could pick up a bit of contamination ill turn the pulse on to help.

bought myself an ultrasonic cleaner, very pleased, should have bought one years ago.
stripped the injector bodies and gave them a few sessions in the tank.
got a spare set of carbs for the A5 going in next.

when i bought this bike it came with a set of carbs. apparently they had problems with the DFI
and so tried a set of carbs to see if it would run any better but couldnt get them to hold petrol let alone run the bike.
this is why the bike had been left.
well i thought i would pull the said carbs to bits and put them through the ultrasonic cleaner, at least they would do as a spare set for the A5
well this is what i found inside.
looks like a bit of silicon to hold the main jet in and as for the condition inside im not surprised they leaked..
