I am the owner of a very nice 1981 KZ1300 with peanut tank. Bone original ebony. This is my 4th KZ1300 I've owned. Started with the 1st one in 1992 in South Africa. bought & sold them. Moved to Vancouver , went to Swap meet in Tsewassen BC & bought this beauty for a lot of $$$$....s. A keeper. I also have a Krauzer Full fairing with panniers that came with the bike. Never put it on, 'cause I lke the original naked look.
My other bike is a brand new BMW GTL1600 EXCLUSIVE. Still think the old KZ is a more loving bike to ride. " Harley eater"

Hi Bornmann welcome to the forum. You just can't get a six out of the system once you have owned one. I do agree that they do look best naked but as with me that may change as it ages

Hello Bornmann,
That looks a nice bike. How many miles on it?
I'd like to ask what I always want to know from 1300 owners: What is it that appeals to you so much about this Kawasaki?
Interested to hear you also have a BMW six. Today I was at a fuel station with my car, when a BMW like yours pulled in. Its looks and SOUND were AMAZING. Fabulous bike.

Biltonjim, yes it would be interesting to know what drew them to the KZ 1300. I feel a need to be different and am a bit of a non-conformist. We have to be a touch crazy too! One of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen was a big herd of sheep standing out in a field. Everyone of them had the emblem of The Motor Company (Harley) branded on them! We are definitely not sheep!
